Colourfun Mile fundraisers given chance to stand out from the crowd by becoming a ‘Hundred Hero’ for LOROS Hospice
17th March 2017
LOROS are giving Colourfun Mile participants the opportunity to really stand out from the crowd this June by inviting them to become part of their ‘The Hundred Heroes’ club.
The Hospice’s brand-new fundraising scheme, ‘The Hundred Heroes’club sees 100 people who are signed up for certain events, go that extra mile by taking on the challenge of raising £100 each for the charity.
One of this year’s ‘The Hundred Heroes’ club events is the Colourfun Mile and there are still a limited amount of spaces left, for people to register.
“We are always extremely grateful to everyone who signs up to take part in our events but we recognise that there are some people that really do want to go that extra bit further for LOROS and that is why we’ve introduced this exclusive The ‘Hundred Heroes’ club,” said LOROS Events Lead Laura Betts.
“With each of the 100 members raising £100, we are aiming to raise an additional £10,000 per event, which is enough to cover the cost of one of our specialist nurses for more than two weeks.”
Members of ‘The Hundred Heroes’ club will receive a unique t-shirt and VIP treatment on the day.
The Colourfun Mile, which is taking place on Tuesday 7th June, is bigger and better than ever, with a brand new glitter station topping off the route and a ‘paint rave’ completing the event. Taking place in Hinckley town centre, the family-friendly Colourfun Mile kicks off at Station Road at 7pm.
Participants will get showered in brightly-coloured paint as they make their way along the mile-long route.
“Last year, more than 1,000 people took part in the event and this time round, we’re wanting even more people, of all ages – and dogs too – to take to the streets of Hinckley to raise money for LOROS,” added Laura.
