Highcross, Leicester is pleased to announce its chosen charity of the year, local hospice LOROS.

The official partnership between Highcross and LOROS, a hospice that cares for thousands of terminally ill adults and families across Leicester, will be implemented with a number of fundraising initiatives throughout the year.

Staff from the centre will be encouraged to fundraise with bake sales and raffles, which will be promoted on the centre's community board, located on the lower mall. Housed donation boxes will give staff the opportunity to donate any unwanted clothes and toys, as well as cash collection boxes placed in the customer service lounge for donations.

General Manager, Highcross, Jo Tallack said, "LOROS has touched the lives of many families in Leicester and we are delighted to be supporting them. We plan to not only give our time but also raise funds and donate our unwanted goods to help raise the £7.5 million they need to operate each year."

LOROS Fundraiser Laura Betts said, "Everyone at LOROS is extremely pleased that Highcross have chosen us as their Charity of the Year.

"There are so many opportunities to come out of this partnership and we can’t wait to start working with them."
