Delegate - Having Conversations about Death and Dying
This 3-day programme plus half day follow up, offers the opportunity to enhance your knowledge about the principles of palliative and end of life care.
Delegates will be supported to identify a small quality improvement project specific to their area of work, which will be presented to the group at the follow up half day.
This 90 minute virtual workshop forms part of a 3-session introductory series focusing on End of Life Care for those who deliver personalised care across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland. Delegates can attend 1, 2 or all 3 of the sessions.
This foundation level workshop teaches the communication skills needed to notice distress, listen carefully and respond with empathy. It is interactive in nature and uses a mix of small group work, lectures and rehearsals to teach participants how to have an evidence-based, structured conversation with someone who has concerns or is distressed.
This study day for registered health care staff aims to improve skills in providing compassionate personalised care for people in the last year of life.
