More than 300 people attended the annual LOROS Christmas concert at Leicester Cathedral on Monday 2nd December.

As well as LOROS supporters, the audience included Hospice staff and volunteers, civic dignitaries and parents and friends of the performers. They were treated to a selection of traditional carols, Christmas and popular songs and music, as well as readings and stories from several local celebrities.

During her address, Lady Jennifer Gretton, Lord Lieutenant of Leicestershire and LOROS President, said: "We hold a concert every year and it is wonderful to see the support we get from the people of Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland and from all the performers who give up their time free to support us.

"It is also a great way of celebrating the start of the Christmas festivities and is a way of saying thank you and acknowledging the work that takes place throughout the year at LOROS."

The Leicester Mercury attended the event and images are available to view and purchase here: http://www.dipintosales.co.uk/(S(spjkew3neo4up5qzd2zgjwxe))/thisisLeicestershire/Gallery/View/6pasyp0ue3
