We are happy to receive donations to any of our 29 shops
Please check each shop page and its parking notes to help you with your donation. Our warehouse is in Glenfield and offers ample parking and is the easiest place for you to donate to.
Are you a school, hotel, office or company that would be happy to host a donation station for us? Find out more here.
The Hospice is grateful for the generous donations given to support its work. However in order to raise income and ensure that we attract customers to our shops we politely request that items are of good quality, not broken or soiled. If items are broken, damaged or soiled it means we have the expense of disposing of the items.
We do not accept the following items:
Fabric covered furniture with no fire labels
White goods and large electrical items
Electric and gas fires
Car seats for children
Duvets and pillows
Furnishings need to comply with the 1988 fire regulations and items must have fire labels attached. Any items of furniture made from glass requires the British Standard kite mark.
If you would like advice, or would like to check what you can/can’t donate please call (0116) 231 3666
Medicines, Syringes, and Needles
Please be advised that we are unable to accept any medicines, syringes or needles (sharps) in our shops or donation boxes.
For safety and to comply with regulations, all medicines and unused syringes that are no longer required should be taken to any pharmacist or chemist shop for safe disposal.
Used syringes in sharps boxes can be collected by your local authority (Council).
