Colette Norman

LOROS Lottery Manager

Colette joined the team as the Lottery Manager in November 2017. Colette already had close links to the Hospice. Her Mum passed away at LOROS in March 2011 and then her Father-in-law in November 2014. She and her family have already supported the winter raffle in 2013 as their Mum was the face of the campaign. Since then she has had a strong admiration for the Hospice and thought it would be amazing to work for such a great organisation.

Colette has a background in event management, customer service and promotions.

John Hurst

Assistant Lottery Manager

John joined the Lottery team in November 2015 after working in the private sector for over thirty years as a graphic designer in various creative agencies and studios.

Taking a complete change of direction, he started his role as Assistant Lottery Manager, looking to be part of a team and an organisation that really does make a difference in the community and found it at LOROS.

“The role I have here in the lottery team is a real change, a challenge and totally rewarding as we look to increase the number of players and consequently revenue into the Hospice, to maintain the care package that patients, family and friends receive. When I tell people where I work I’m really proud, it’s a special place."

Ruth Needham

Raffle and Compliance Co-ordinator

Ruth started volunteering on the hospice reception in April 2008 before joining the lottery team in April 2009 as Lottery Secretary.

Since then she has been Personal Assistant to the former Lottery Manager, Liz, managing her diary and giving secretarial support to both Liz and John, the Assistant Lottery Manager. Now Ruth oversees the bi-annual raffles and, alongside Colette, is the qualifying person on the operating licence held with the Gambling Commission.

Ruth said: "Having previously worked in banking for 18 years I was looking to work in a more people focused environment. Raising funds for LOROS via the lottery gives me a true sense of worth coming into the office every day."

Kay Archer

Lottery Development Assistant

Kay joined LOROS in 2012 and enjoys her role assisting the Lottery Promotions Lead with a continuing variation of special projects.

Tom Nicholls

Lottery Promotions Lead

Tom started in his role at LOROS in April 2017 after working at De Montfort Students’ Union for a number of years; where he started after graduating in 2005.

Tom manages the promotions team of both staff and volunteers, as well as the relationship with corporate partners.

Tom said “My granddad was an inpatient at LOROS when I was a child and I can remember back then understanding that it was a really supportive place. I’m very proud to work here and to play a part in bringing in regular income to go towards patient care

Rose Butlin

Lottery Promotions Administrator/ Co-ordinator

Rose joined the Lottery team in November 2016 after graduating from the University of Kent with a BA (Hons) in Politics and International Relations. After working in the events team of a national cancer charity, she joined LOROS to assist in promoting the LOROS Lottery, scratch cards and raffle, helping raise valuable funds for the Hospice.

“I love telling people I work for LOROS as it’s a chance to let more people know about the fantastic work the Hospice does within the local community. The scope of care LOROS offers is truly inspiring and I am proud to be a small part of the team working to bring in a regular income towards patient care."

Lindsey Geary

Lottery Promoter – In-store

Lindsey has been part of the Lottery Promotions Team since 2014. She has a background in sales and in-store promotions and is looking forward to her new and exciting role. Lindsey also has a very personal connection to LOROS.

“My mum had treatment at LOROS and I have first-hand knowledge of the amazing work that LOROS do.”

Lindsey recruits new players to the LOROS Lottery at various stands and stores and loves meeting new people wherever she goes, so if you see her about pop over and say hello.

Sarah Robinson

Lottery Promoter – In-store

Sarah has been part of the Lottery team since 2011 and thrives on signing up new lottery players to bring a regular income to the Hospice.

Sarah promotes LOROS and recruits new players to our lottery at stands in various stores and at events throughout the county.

Sarah has worked in a similar role prior to LOROS, promoting beauty products in major retail stores across Leicestershire and she loves this type of work – but promoting LOROS means so much more.

Veselka Saric

Lottery Promoter - In-store

Veselka joined the Lottery Promotions team in December 2016, having changed direction from working in the Banking Industry and becoming a member of 'Team LOROS'.

She is passionate about the care and support that LOROS delivers to patients and their families across the County, and wants to ensure that LOROS goes from strength to strength by recruiting new players and retaining existing ones.

If you see her out and about, she'd love to have a chat and she's very friendly!

Dianne Noon

Relief Cash Collector / Lottery Promoter - In-store

Dianne joined the team as a Lottery Promoter and Relief Lottery Collector in October 2017 after taking time off from working in the NHS.

Dianne has a personal link with the Hospice as LOROS provided inpatient care for her Mum in 2016 and it is around this time that she began as a volunteer for LOROS managing the city centre cash donation boxes.

You'll see her out and about in various locations promoting the lottery, selling scratch cards, and collecting cash - anything that helps support LOROS! If you see her come over and say hello.
