Congratulations to Ann Maccabee, last week’s lottery winner, who won a whopping £2,000!
Ann has been playing the #LOROS Lottery since 2016, after reading a newspaper article about how LOROS began. The article, which recalled a story about a lady who was terminally ill wearing a red flower in her hair, really resonated with Ann, so much so that she looked into ways she could support the Hospice.
Since then friends of Ann and her husband, Francis, have been cared for by LOROS. “The LOROS nurses really know how to care for people. They have been wonderful looking after and supporting our family friends.” Ann said the call couldn’t have come at a better time, “At our age it’s nice to receive some good news.”
We asked Ann, 86, what she planned to do with her winnings. She immediately said that she would like to donate £250 back to the Hospice. Ann went on to say, “I have a few day trips out and coach trips I would like to go on, so it will help towards that”.
For £1 per week, you too could be in with a chance of winning our weekly £2,000 top prize. What would you do if you won? Share you story with us and help us spread the LOROS word.
