By playing the LOROS Lottery you’re making a huge difference. For £1 per week you can support your local hospice and be in with the chance of winning up to £2,000.
All profits from our lottery go straight to LOROS, so you get a chance to win and a chance to care.
The difference you could make…
£12,000,000 has been raised by LOROS Lottery players over the last 22 years. This could help pay for around 22,857 days inpatient care at the Hospice
By playing the LOROS Lottery for one month, you could pay for a patient’s meals for a day
Two plays every week, for a year, could pay to transport 10 patients from their homes to the Hospice
By playing the LOROS Lottery for a year, you could pay for two complementary therapy sessions for our patients, their families or carers
Did you know that on average around 50% of our income goes straight into the Hospice each year, which equates to over £750,000!
Play in memory
Over the past 22 years, LOROS Lottery players have joined for all sorts of reasons but playing in memory of a loved one is why 75% of people join our Lottery.
“I play the LOROS Lottery in memory of my Mum, Marilyn.
Mum passed away in LOROS in March 2011 and previous to that benefited from symptom control support and Day Therapy.
She celebrated her 59th birthday in LOROS. With the help of the brilliant nurses and staff we organised a spa morning and a cake. Mum died a week afterwards. We will never forget how special the Hospice made her last birthday". Carolyn, a LOROS Lottery player
“My Grandad Erwin is the reason I play the LOROS Lottery, I signed up in his memory.
I was three years old when he died in LOROS in 1991, I can still remember being in the Hospice and spending time in the play room with my Brother.
He benefited enormously from the care provided on the inpatient ward and had visited Day Therapy prior to his death.
I know there is a draw every Friday morning and it’s nice to know his memory goes on even to this day, each time I’ve won a prize I’ve told the family and we’ve all remembered him together” Tom, a LOROS Lottery player.
“I play the LOROS Lottery in memory of my Mum, Eileen.
Mum passed away in April 2018 and previous to that played the lottery for nearly 20 years.
It was lovely to know that I could continue playing her number and that it could be in her memory.
Taking over the number was easy and I know my Mum would be happy that as a family we continue to support such a great needed local charity.” Mark, a LOROS Lottery player.
