Join us on Skydive Sunday and challenge yourself to a once in a lifetime experience for a day you will never forget!
Give yourself something to look forward to in 2021 and feel the adrenaline rush as you fall at speeds of up to 120mph, before taking in a beautiful bird’s eye view as you float back down to earth. There is nothing quite like the feeling of flying and the instructors at Sibson Aerodrome will make you feel perfectly safe; some of them having completed thousands of jumps themselves! The airfield is located about 50 minutes’ drive from Leicester on the edge of Peterborough – there is a café on-site and friends and family can watch you board the plane as well as land in the drop zone in the neighbouring field.
A £50 registration will confirm your place and then we ask you to pledge to raise £400 for LOROS Hospice. LOROS will then cover the remaining cost of your jump, or alternatively, you can cover this yourself later by making a simple £150 donation on your own fundraising page. Once you have signed up we’ll be in touch with a fundraising pack to help get you started, and our team is on-hand for any help that you may need with fundraising or questions about the day itself!
You can book onto any one of the LOROS session times on Sunday 9th May. These are 8:30am, 10:30am, 12:30pm and 3:30pm.
The minimum age limit with parental consent is 16, and all skydivers will need to complete a medical self-certification form. Please note there is also a maximum weight limit of 15 stone 7 pounds.
We are working really hard to make sure that all our LOROS events go ahead safely in 2021, giving you both the peace of mind that any necessary precautions relating to the pandemic have been taken as well as the confidence that you are protected if you are unable to take part due to COVID-19. Please note that practices may change as vaccines become more prevalent but for our skydive days currently this means:
COVID-safe skydives started running again at Sibson Aerodrome back in July 2020, and continue to do so, meaning you can have every confidence you’ll be able to jump out of that plane come May!
If for whatever reason, you’re unable to take part on our original date then we can transfer your jump to a new date; this already happens regularly in the event of bad weather
Jump day sessions are spread out to allow just 15 participants per session across a two-hour period
A maximum of 5 spectators per participant is permitted
Temperatures may be taken for those entering the indoor registration area
All safety briefings now take place outside
Face masks are to be worn on the aircraft and removed prior to jumping out
Hand sanitizer is also available where necessary
If you would like to know more or have any further questions please send us an email to email@example.com or give us a call on (0116) 231 8431.
