This iconic 192-mile walk was the brainchild of famous fell-walker, Alfred Wainwright which starts from St Bees in Cumbria and finishes in Robin Hood’s Bay in North Yorkshire. The team of thirteen LOROS walkers will be stopping in Youth Hostels and B&Bs as they travel across the country after dipping their boots in the Irish Sea and a fortnight later in the North Sea.

The walk passes through some of the Uk’s most beautiful areas including the Lake District, the Yorkshire Dales and the North Yorkshire moors. The average daily walking distance is 15 miles for the 14 full days walking with no rest days.

Support transport will be provided to get to the start and return home after completing the walk. The minibus will also take your main luggage to and from your accommodation meaning you will only have to carry a day sack.

Please contact the organiser and walk leader, Adrian Walker to discuss the details and costs.

You will also be offered some training walks to familiarise yourself with the rest of the group before the main walk.
