Climb England’s highest mountain in The Lake District
Scafell Pike, situated in the Cumbrian mountains in the beautiful Lake District is the highest peak in England. It stands 978 metres high (3,208 feet) over Wastwater, the deepest lake in England, and has drawn walkers from across the country in a bid to reach its summit for over two centuries.
Leaving Leicester on Friday evening, LOROS will provide all transport to and from The Lake District (if required) and overnight accommodation on Friday to ensure an early start on Saturday morning.
Assisted by experienced mountain leaders, the walk is perfect for your first foray into the mountains, with the semi-circular route coming in at around 10km in distance and 989m of total ascent. With the whole day to complete the walk – we hope there will be time to celebrate afterwards at The Wasdale Head Inn before returning to Leicester on Saturday evening.
