Are you living with, or caring for someone with cancer or other life limiting illness?
Or do you know anyone who is? If so why not come along to our creative and well-being drop-in sessions, 10am-4pm on alternate Tuesdays.
The drop-in service is designed to help and support people over the age of 18, recently diagnosed or living with cancer or other life limiting illnesses eg. MND, heart failure and respiratory failure. We also provide support for carers.
You do not need to be known to LOROS, or currently be accessing our services to come along to this service.
Please ring (0116) 231 8490 for the next available date.
During the days there will be activities such as:
- Creative therapy (either within a group or on a one-to-one basis to help you achieve your creative potential)
- Complementary therapy (such as massage or aromatherapy)
- Hairdressing and barbering
- Workshops (a varied programme from suggestions)
- Arts and crafts
- Relaxation to music
- Jewellery making*
- Cake decorating*
- Plant a tub*
We're now providing a rolling programme of 7 'wellbeing’ sessions; which include Thai Chi, Creative writing and Yoga.
Patients must be 18, self-caring and independent, and able to get themselves to and from the Hospice as transport is not provided.
There is no need to book, just drop in to see us at LOROS or call us on (0116) 231 8490.
