Auction extended to 2nd May- last chance to buy!

Anne Davies, the East Midlands Today presenter known for her distinctive style, has begun 2021 with a wardrobe declutter, donating over 400 stylish, pre-loved pieces to LOROS Hospice.

Now, admirers of Anne’s chic wardrobe will be able to own a piece of celebrity history, as the items are being sold in an online auction next month to raise money for the charity.

Along with Anne’s donations, exclusive items from other celebrities, including Scottish actress and television presenter, Lorraine Kelly, will also be available.

The ‘A-Listed Auction’ will be hosted on ecommerce sites eBay and Depop, and feature some of Anne’s most iconic clothing and accessories.

With low starting prices and brands such as Moschino, LK Bennett and Max Mara amongst the collection, bidders could be in with the chance of grabbing themselves a designer bargain for less.

Gary McMillan-Dale, Retail Manager at LOROS, said: “We’re extremely grateful for the generosity shown by Anne and the other celebrities during what has been a really difficult time for us.

“Due to the third national lockdown, all of our shops have again been forced to close and we are struggling to raise funds.

“Until we are able to open, we are relying solely on online income and Anne’s generous donation will certainly help give us a boost.”

Anne, who has been a patron at the Hospice since 2015, hopes the auction will not only bring in vital funds for the charity, but also help to boost people’s moods during this stressful time.

She said: “I’ve always tried to support LOROS in any way I can and it’s great that I’m now able to do this through my love of fashion. I’ve absolutely adored wearing every single item I’ve donated to LOROS, some of which have been worn on very special occasions.

“I’ve been lucky that I’ve still had to go into work throughout the pandemic really, because having to dress for work each day has definitely lifted my mood. I’m a real believer in the power of clothes, and I’d encourage everyone to take a look as you never know what you might find that will make you feel a million dollars at home, and be ready, hanging in the wardrobe for the moment we’re allowed back into the world!”

The A-Listed Auction will go live on 9th April at 4pm. To receive an alert on the day and be one of the first to browse, visit: loros.co.uk/a-list-auction
