LOROS Hospice have teamed up with an award-winning production company to produce a highly emotive video to promote their Robin Campaign, which launches today (Monday 2nd September).

Fishbulb Films, a creative arm of Crosscut Media have produced a two minute long video, which features a number of different people, played by staff, volunteers and families of LOROS patients, remembering a loved one, as they see a robin.

The video can be viewed at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fPPahkmIbHI

The video will mark the launch of the campaign and kicks-off a week long ‘memory garden’ display in Jubilee Square, that people will be able to visit 10am today.

“We’ve been working with LOROS Hospice for many years now, on multiple projects and this time round, it was brilliant to be able to get stuck into something really creative,” said Director and Co-Founder of Crosscut Media, Dan Flanders.

“This video really brings out the emotion of the campaign, while still keeping the professional and high-end feel the team at LOROS were hoping for.

“We’re now just looking forward to seeing it on the big screen in Jubilee Square for all of the visitors to enjoy.”

Crosscut Media have previously won Contribution to Leicester Comedy Festival Award, while Fishbulb Films have claimed Best Drama, in the Nexus Film Awards and was a finalist in the Lift-Off Global Network Sessions.

The team at Crosscut Media have also produced a behind the scenes video, demonstrating how the film was created, which can be viewed on the LOROS website.

“We are extremely pleased with the final video. The team here at LOROS had an idea and the team at Crosscut have managed to put our vision into a video perfectly,” said LOROS Fundraising Co-ordinator Charlotte Graham, who is overseeing the campaign.

“We hope it reflects the emotions that shine through the campaign and showcases just how much robins mean to so many people.”

The LOROS Robin campaign is the second in the Hospice’s remembrance series, following on from last year’s hugely successful Forget Me Not campaign.

People can buy a limited edition robin for £25 from any of the LOROS Shops, online for an extra postage fee, or at the display from Monday 2nd September to Sunday 8th September. Visitors will also be to enjoy the ‘memory garden’ at dusk on Wednesday, where the display will be open until 8pm, complete with an acoustic singer and prosecco bar.
