Following this year’s hugely successful and record-breaking Twilight Walk, LOROS are hoping for the same turnout at the summer’s family-friendly Colourfun Mile.

Taking place on Wednesday 7th June, participants will follow the route through Hinckley town centre, as they get showered in multi-coloured paint.

Fun for all ages and dogs too, this event promises to be the most colourful way to raise money for your local hospice.

LOROS Fundraising Lead Laura Betts said: “Our Colourfun Mile is always such a huge hit with our supporters and is definitely an event that is set to put a smile on everyone’s faces.

“This year’s Colourfun Mile will be bigger and better than ever before, as we’ve added a brand new glitter station to the route, as well as an extra special paint rave to complete the event.”

In addition, participants are being given the opportunity to sign up to the Hospice’s brand new fundraising scheme and become part of ‘The Hundred Heroes’ club.

There are 100 members of this exclusive club, with each of them going that extra mile for LOROS by pledging to raise £100 for the Hospice.

“Our ‘The Hundred Heroes’ club is a brand new scheme that we have introduced this year, to give our fundraisers the opportunity to really stand out from the crowd at our events,” added Laura.

“It went down a treat at this year’s Twilight Walk, with all 100 members of the club signed up within just a matter of weeks.

“We’re hoping 100 more supporters take on the same challenge at our Colourfun Mile.”

By signing up to ‘The 100 Heroes’ club, participants will collectively aim to raise £10,000 for LOROS, which is enough to cover the cost of one of the Hospice’s specialist nurses for two weeks.

In return, members will be given VIP treatment at this year’s Colourfun Mile.

The event, which kicks off at 7pm in Station Road, Hinckley is £15 for adults and £12 for children, with sign-up including a free t-shirt and a pack of powder paint.
