Hollywood actor Stephen Graham is going around with a bucket to raise cash for a Leicestershire hospice.

The 44-year-old thespian, from Ibstock, has been challenged by the LOROS hospice to fill a yellow plastic bucket with cash.

Graham, who has starred in TV and movie hits such as Pirates of the Caribbean with Johnny Depp and as Al Capone in the HBO show Boardwalk Empire, was given the bucket during a visit with his actor wife Hannah Walters to the hospice in Groby Road, Leicester, last week.

Stephen has been given 14 days from November 10 to fill the bucket with money and has taken to social media to seek help with his fund-raising task.

Stephen tweeted: “Ladies and gents, I’ve been challenged to fill the bucket for LOROS Hospice in 14 days, so if you see me and Lionel please stop and donate!”

He also posted: “Will keep everyone posted on where I will be over the next 2 weeks... thanks for all your support already.”

The actor seems quietly confident that he will succeed in his challenge.

He tweeted to LOROS: “Will be back very soon with my Loros bucket brimming with notes!!! (if anyone sees me & my bucket then please drop some change in it!)”

The LOROS team said they had a great day when the two actors visited.

A spokesperson tweeted: “Had a fantastic day showing @StephenGraham73 & @HannahWalters74 round #LOROS today! You are both absolutely wonderful! come back soon.”!
