
Current projects
The Prognosis in Palliative Care Study II (PiPS2) opened for recruitment at LOROS in October 2016. The study, led by Professor Paddy Stone from University College London, aims to validate the PiPS prognostic scores in an independent cohort of patients with advanced incurable cancer and to compare its accuracy to clinician predictions of survival.
Conversations about resuscitation: The views of senior hospice nurses about conversations with patients and families around DNA-CPR (do not attempt cardio pulmonary resuscitation) decisions and completing the documentation. Ali Pilsworth has been awarded a grant from the Burdett Trust for Nursing to support this work.
