About this course

Looking after someone who has a terminal illness can be a huge emotional and physical challenge. It is important to take time for yourself and get support.

LOROS is delivering a six week programme designed specifically to support carers. The programme will be tailored to provide practical information, psychological and emotional support with the opportunity to ask questions and develop peer support.

A different theme will be covered each week. The outline of the programme is available here. You can also view the poster here.

The sessions will be held in the LOROS Professional Development Centre. The sessions last for two and a half hours which incorporates a 45 minute talk, a break for refreshments and socialising followed by an informal question and answer session. You can choose to attend all sessions or individual sessions.

How to register

Anyone who is a carer can join, simply by contacting Josie Gallo on (0116) 231 8435. We will be running a further programme in June 2019 and September 2019, dates available on enquiry.
