About this course

A series of study days focused on excellence in end of life care.

Topics include:

  • Principles of end of life care
  • Symptom management for care staff
  • Communication
  • Care after death
  • Team working
  • Loss, grief and bereavement
  • Views on death and dying

Entry requirements:

Learners must be able to complete a written assessment, but no formal qualifications are required in English or maths. Tutorials and support will be given to complete the written work.

Staff working in hospices and care homes in the UK can apply to the Wolfson Foundation (via Hospice UK) to cover part of the cost of this programme:

Suitable for

Staff working with people who are reaching the end of their lives. Learners taking this qualification will be care assistants, support workers , healthcare assistants and volunteers.
