About this lecture
Speaker: Wendy Ann Webb
Please note: This event is full but will be streamed live on Twitter
People experiencing homelessness die young - usually between 43 and 47 years of age, often without adequate support or dignity. This LOROS lecture will consider the inequalities that prevent people experiencing homelessness from receiving quality end of life care and explore the complexities of providing care to this marginalised group.
Wendy is passionate about improving end of life care for people experiencing homelessness. She is a Queen's Nurse and recently completed her PhD researching end of life priorities within the homeless community. Wendy also works as a volunteer nurse at Birmingham City Mission's Care Centre, where she washes the feet of people experiencing homelessness in Birmingham.
