Job description

LOROS Hospice is a local charity and every year we care for over 2,500 people across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland. We deliver free, high-quality, compassionate care and support to terminally ill patients, their family and carers.

Spiritual Care Chaplain 30 hours per week Salary range £27,098 to £33,388 per annum pro rata (some flexibility is required including working on a Sunday)

As Spiritual Care Chaplain you will be responsible for supporting the spiritual and religious needs of the patients, their families and carers as well as staff and volunteers at the Hospice. You will be working alongside the Spiritual Care Lead Chaplain plus Bank Chaplains and Volunteers.

You will need to be a compassionate and resourceful person with well-developed communication skills and have experience of working within a multi-disciplinary team.

This is a challenging role therefore proven experience in ministry is essential as is the ability to relate to people from different backgrounds, of all faiths and none. The post is open to Ordained or non-ordained Ministers with experience of providing spiritual care to those approaching the end of their lives.
