Job description

Children’s Counsellor/Educator 30 hours per week, initially for two years. £27,098 to £32,332 per annum pro rata (depending upon experience)

This is an exciting new opportunity to join a progressive and experienced counselling team, initially for two years.

You will be: • An experienced qualified Counsellor who is BACP or UKCP registered/accredited or actively working towards accreditation. • Experienced in working with children and young people in a therapeutic setting using a child centred approach and appropriate knowledge of Bereavement theory, in predominantly cancer/life limiting illness end of life care and bereavement. • Experienced with short-term counselling interventions • Experienced in an educational role and have the ability to write and deliver workshops to internal and external groups. • Able to work with the hospice multi-disciplinary team

If you are experienced and confident in working around issues of anticipated Grief, loss, and bereavement with children and young people and delivering workshops, we would like to hear from you. Experience of working with families using creative mediums is desirable but not essential.
