The annual event was held in Hinckley town centre and featured an additional station to the route which gave an extra sparkle to the occasion - sprinkling glitter on to the 1,200 runners.

LOROS fundraising lead Laura Betts said: "Our Colourfun Mile is always such a huge hit with our supporters and is definitely an event that is set to put a smile on everyone's faces.

"This year's Colourfun Mile was bigger and better than ever before, as we added the new glitter station to the route, as well as an extra special paint rave to complete the event."

In addition, participants were given the opportunity to sign up to the hospice's new fundraising scheme and become part of 'The Hundred Heroes' club."

Laura said: "Our 'The Hundred Heroes' club is a brand new scheme that we have introduced this year, to give our fundraisers the opportunity to really stand out from the crowd at our events.

"It went down a treat at this year's Twilight Walk, with all 100 members of the club signed up within just a matter of weeks."

Photographer Ted Cotterill, who took part in the run said: "It was the first time I had done the Colourfun run. My camera was covered in coloured powder and thankfully the rain held off otherwise Colourfun might have become Colourrun."
